Day
01. Arrive Delhi
Arrival at Delhi Airport. You will be welcomed at the Airport in
traditional style and escorted to your hotel for your overnight stay.

02. Full day sightseeing in Delhi
Full day sightseeing in Delhi. You could include some of the following: Old
Delhi, Red Fort, and the Jama Masjid Mosque, with a rickshaw ride through
the Chandni Chowk visiting the Spice, Wedding and Silver Markets and then
the Birla Temple if you wish before lunch. Then a drive through New Delhi to
see the Parliament Buildings of Sir Edwin Lutyens, India Gate and Humayun's
Tomb. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 03. Delhi - Bagdogra -
Darjeeling
Transfer to domestic airport in time to catch the flight to Bagdogra. Upon
arrival in Bagdogra airport meet and transfer to Darjeeling for overnight
stay.
Day 04. Whole day in Darjeeling
Early morning excursion to Tiger hill and Ghoom Monastery. After breakfast
half day city tour of Darjeeling visiting Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre,
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Himalayan Zoological Park. After noon
walk around the colourful town of Darjeeling.

05. Whole day in Darjeeling
After breakfast visit to Happy Valley Tea Garden. In the afternoon if you
wish you can take a short ride on the Toy train down to Ghoom. This part of
the railway line is the most interesting and is worth doing. At Ghoom there
are a number of monasteries including the Sakya Choling and Phin Choling.
Between Ghoom and Darjeeling is the Thupten Sangag Choling Gompa which was
only built in 1992. You will be back by jeep to Darjeeling for overnight
stay.

Day
06. Darjeeling to Pemayangtse
After breakfast drive to Pemayangtse for overnight stay. Pemayangtse is
about 06 hrs drive from Darjeeling. Rest of the day free or you can take a
short walk around the Pelling Village.

07. Whole day in Pemayangtse
Morning visit to Sanghacholing Monastery, this trip takes about three and a
half hours. After lunch visit to Pemayangtse Monastery and the ruins of
Rabdentse Palace,the second capitol of Sikkim. This trip takes about 4 to 5
hrs. Over night stay in Pemayangtse.
Day 08. Pemayangtse - Gangtok
After breakfast drive to Gangtok and on the way visit to Tashiding
Monastery. This drive takes about seven hours. Rest of the day free or you
can walk around in the local Bazaar.

09. Gangtok
Full day sightseeing of Gangtok. Morning visit to Rumtek Monastery (Rumtek
is the biggest Monastery in this whole region) and on the way back visit the
Institute of Tibetology. After lunch visit to Enchhey Monastery, Handicraft
centre, Flower show and walk around the local market which takes a minimum
of about 04 hrs.

10. Gangtok - Kalimpong
After breakfast transfer from Gangtok to Kalimpong. The drive will take
about three and half hours. Upon arrival check in the hotel. Afternoon we
suggest to visit the Dzong-Do-Phalri Monastery, a flower nursery and around
Kalimpong market. This whole trip takes at least about 4 to 5 hrs.

11. Kalimpong to Phuntsholing
After breakfast drive to Phuntsholing, border town of Bhutan. This drive
will take about 06 hours. There will be some paper work formalities at the
border which you have to go through. After finishing the paper work please
proceed to your hotel for overnight stay. Rest of the day leisure or if you
wish you can go for a walk around the Phuntsholing town.

12. Phuntsholing to Thimpu
Transfer from Phuntsholing to Thimpu. This drive takes about 06 hrs passing
through virgin forest and uninterrupted landscape. This is an unbelievable
and beautiful drive.
After this beautiful journey check in the hotel in Thimpu, a little
beautiful city and the capitol of Bhutan. Rest of the day at leisure.

Thimpu - Tshechu Festival
Day
13. Whole day in Thimpu
Full day sight seeing around Thimpu. We suggest visiting the National
Library, which has ancient Buddhist manuscripts, the Traditional Medicinal
Institute where centuries old healing arts like acupuncture and herbal
remedies are still practiced.
After lunch we suggest to visit the Tashichhodzong, the centre of the
Bhutanese Government and the Kings Memorial Chorten. Return to hotel for
over night stay.
Day 14. Thimpu to Paro
Transfer from Thimpu to Paro. This drive takes about two and a half hours.
Upon arrival check in the hotel. Afternoon we suggest to visit the National
Museum, which houses centuries of Bhutanese culture and history. This visit
takes anywhere between 2 to 3 hours maybe even more. Return to your hotel
for overnight stay.

Drukgyel Dongz
Day
15. in Paro
After breakfast drive to Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress where Bhutanese
warriors fought Tibetan invaders centuries ago. If the sky is clear one can
see Mount Chomolhari.
The other places to visit are the seventh century Kyichu Lakhang, one of
the hundred and eight temples built in the Himalayas built by the Tibetan
King Songtsen Gampo.This temple reflects the introduction of Buddhism in
Bhutan.
After lunch if you wish you can visit the town of Paro and Rinpong Dzong.
Return to Paro for overnight stay.
Day 16. Paro - Onward destinations
Depending on your flight transfer to Paro Airport to your onward
destination.

- The best season to visit this area weather wise is between March till
May and October - November.
- We have suggested the above mentioned itinerary as the clients will
not have any altitude problem. Normally, on this trip we get clients up
to the age of 65 to 70 yrs old.
