
Day 1. Arrival Delhi
Arrival at Delhi Airport. You will be welcomed at the Airport in
traditional style and escorted to your hotel for your overnight stay.

2. Whole day in Delhi
Full day sightseeing in Delhi. You could include some of the following: Old
Delhi, Red Fort, the Jama Masjid Mosque, with a rickshaw ride through the
Chandni Chowk visiting the Spice, Wedding and Silver Markets and then the
Birla Temple if you wish before lunch. Then a drive through New Delhi to see
the Parliament Buildings of Sir Edwin Lutyens, India Gate and Humayun's
Tomb. . Overnight at your hotel.
Day 3 & 4. Delhi - Samode
Morning drive to Samode Palace for a stay of two days. This magnificent
palace houses one of the most beautiful audience halls, the Diwan-a-Aam and
has exquisite public rooms. Relax at the pool, take a camel-cart ride to the
village or visit a local farmhouse.

5 & 6. Samode - Jodhpur
Drive west to the blue city of Jodhpur, for a stay of two nights. Your stay
will include a visit to the Mehrangarh Fort, perched high above the city and
offering breathtaking views of the city below.

Day 7 & 8. Jodhpur - Ranakpur
- Udaipur
Drive south, visiting the 13th C Jain temples of Ranakpur on your way to
Udaipur for a stay of 2 nights. Your stay will include visits to the City
Palace, a boatride over Lake Pichola and a visit to the Crystal Gallery and
Fateh Prakash Palace.

9. Udaipur - Deogarh
Leave after breakfast for the short drive north to Deogarh where a warm and
royal welcome awaits you at the Deogarh Mahal. Laze or take an adventurous
jeep safari with a picnic into the surrounding countryside. Overnight at the
Deogarh Mahal.

10 & 11. Deogarh - Jaipur
After breakfast drive up to Jaipur, capital and pink city of Rajasthan for
a two-night stay. During your visit there will be a visit to the City
Palace, the Hawa Mahal, and Observatory and of course Amber Fort, former
residence of the Jaipur Royal Family. Jaipur is famous as a centre of carpet
weaving, hand blocked textiles and gems and a favourite place to shop with
visitors.

Day 12 & 13. Jaipur - Fatehpur
Sikri - Agra
Drive to Agra with a stop on the way at Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted city
of Emperor Akbar. Your stay in Agra will be for two nights. Your stay will
include visits to the Red Fort, the Itimad-ud-daula and of course the Taj
Mahal.

Day 14 & 15. Agra - Jhansi -
Khajuraho
Morning train to Jhansi. Upon arrival you will be met by your driver who
will take you to Khajuraho. If you wish you can visit Orchha on the way.

Erotic Temple Khajuraho
Khajuraho is famous for its erotic temples. Your two night stay in
Khajuraho will include a visit to the Eastern and Western Temples as well as
the Folk Art and Tribal Museum.
Day 16 & 17. Khajuraho -
Varanasi (By Air)
Again a short flight east takes you to one of the greatest seats of Hindu
culture and famous for it's silk: Varanasi formerly know as Benares. Your
stay will include a morning boatride over the Ganges at sunrise, a visit to
Sarnath, the place of Buddha's first sermon and time to walk the Ghats and
visit the temples.

18. Varanasi - Delhi
Morning free. Early afternoon flight back to Delhi and transfer to the
International airport for your final departure.
Option :
This tour can be extended to include a short visit to Nepal. The daily
flight from Varanasi takes just one hour to reach Kathmandu. From Kathmandu
there is a daily direct flight back to Delhi & Mumbai.
